JIDE OGUNLANA = Actor & MC

Jide Ogunlana is a professionally trained actor who started acting since 1998. 

He had a Diploma in Industrial and Labour Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye and later bagged a Bachelors of Arts(B.A) in Performing Arts from the same OOU, Ago Iwoye.

He went for an Advanced Diploma in Education at the National Teachers Institute(NTI) Lagos Branch.

He then proceeded to the Creative Arts Department of the University of Lagos, Akoka for his Masters Degree.

Having started acting on stage in 1998, he had his first shot on screen in the year 2002 in a movie titled, GLORIFIED alongside veteran actors like, Richard Mofe Damijo, Emma Anyalogu, Edith Jane Azu and Binta Ayo Mogaji, directed by Bond Emeruwa(DGN). The film was released in the year 2004.

He has worked with other A-List Actors such as Ramsey Nouah, Jide Kosoko, Joseph Benjamin, Adebayo Salami(Oga Bello), Peju Ogunmola, Muyiwa Ademola, Adunni Ade, Eno Udo, Rotimi Salami, Yinka Quadri, Bolaji Amusan(Mr. Latin), Dele Odule, Adeniyi Johnson, Ann Njamanze.

Others are Berverly Osu, Ronnie Dikko, Yemi Solade, Adeniyi Johnson, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, Femi Adebayo and many more.

Aside acting, Jide Ogunlana is also a film Director, a Musician, a Comedian, an MC and an Ewi Chanter.

He was the pioneer Lecturer and co-founder at DAT UNIQUE FILM AND PERFORMING ARTS STUDIES owned by Nollywood Actress, Sola Kosoko.

Currently, he lectures Acting at the Performing Arts Department of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.

He has been a two time Secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria Lagos State Chapter and is now the pioneer Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria Ogun State Chapter.
